Tirumala weather by season

March to June: hot days

The hottest months, and also the busiest with summer holidays. Mornings on the hills are pleasant, but afternoons in Tirupati town get very hot. If you walk up the footpath, start early and carry water.

July to September: monsoon showers

Warm and humid with passing showers. Rain is usually short, but carry an umbrella in the queue.

October to December: heaviest rain

The northeast monsoon brings the year’s heaviest rain and the occasional cyclone warning. Heavy rain can slow the ghat roads and footpaths, so check the forecast before you travel.

December to February: cool and pleasant

The most comfortable weather, with cool early mornings on the hills. These months are also among the calmest for crowds, apart from festival days. See the best time to visit.
