Tirumala darshan types, timings and tickets
The main ways to have darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy, how long each usually takes, and how to get tickets.
No ticket: Sarva Darshan (join the queue at Tirumala) or a Slotted Sarva Darshan (SSD) token from the counters in Tirupati.
With a ticket: Special Entry Darshan (₹300), booked online on TTD’s official website about three months ahead.
Before you choose: check the crowd for your dates. On calm days the free queue can be quick; on busy days it can take a full day.

Darshan timings
The day begins with Suprabhatam before dawn and ends with Ekantha Seva around midnight. General darshan runs through most of the day between sevas. Thursdays and Fridays have longer weekly sevas, which is why waits on those days have been longer in our data. Festival days have their own schedule.
Dress code
Traditional Indian dress is required for darshan. Men: dhoti, or pyjama with a shirt or kurta. Women: saree, half-saree, or churidar with a dupatta.

Is there darshan without a ticket?
Yes. Sarva Darshan needs no ticket: you join the queue at Tirumala. On busy days the wait can be 20 hours or more. Slotted Sarva Darshan (SSD) tokens, issued at counters in Tirupati, give you a time slot instead.
How do I book Special Entry Darshan (₹300)?
Only on TTD’s official website. Each month’s quota opens about three months ahead and busy dates sell out quickly. We show the next release dates on our crowd forecast page.
What is the dress code for Tirumala darshan?
Traditional Indian dress. Men usually wear a dhoti or pyjama with a shirt or kurta; women a saree, half-saree or churidar with a dupatta. Western casual wear is not allowed for darshan.
